Cover Reveal: A Crucible of Fire and Steel

Woot! SO pleased with my latest cover. A Crucible of Fire and Steel is book 2 of Heirs of War, releasing on 10th January. It is also something of a milestone, since it’ll be my tenth book to be published.

Bastien has outdone himself again with the beautiful, medieval style illustrations. Depicted are Liesel and Peyre who, along with Sanc, made up the point of view characters in book one. All three return for book two, along with some new points of view… Crucible is even more epic in scale than Inheritance, since Sanc has been sent to a new world. He finds himself drawn into the conflicts of this realm, while Liesel and Peyre must navigate the growing unrest in Dalriya.

Oh, and the geometric shape at the top is a nod to the Bastion, the royal fortification in Valennes.

Cover Reveal: An Inheritance of Ash and Blood

I’m so excited to reveal the cover for An Inheritance of Ash and Blood, Book One of Heirs of War. Check out the official reveal over on fanfiaddict.

I hired French artist Bastien Jez to do the cover for me. He really understood what I wanted and I think his style suits the story perfectly.

I have an official release date of 6 September for the eBook. There will also be a paperback version and, for the first time, I plan to have a hardback version too.

If you can’t wait that long, I currently have the first chapter of the book available to read on the new series page on my website. Enjoy!

Cover Reveal: Og-Grim-Dog and The War of The Dead

Take a gander at the new cover for book 3 in the Me Three series, Og-Grim-Dog and The War of The Dead.

This episode in Og-Grim-Dog’s story combines fantasy with horror as the undead arrive in Gal’azu. I think Andrey’s artwork nicely depicts the struggle as Og-Grim-Dog, Assata and Borte fight off the creatures! The back cover reveals that Raya and Sandon are also in the fight!

No surprises then that this is a darker tale than the first two books in the series, with the silly humour present but taking a bit of a back seat. Maybe that was inevitable since this was written at the height of lockdown.

The ebook will be released on 18th September, while the paperback should come not much later.

The Jalakh Bow

The Jalakh Bow, Book 3 of The Weapon Takers Saga, has just had its cover reveal over on the Fantasy Hive — check it out, there’s a full series blurb and they’ve displayed all three books in the series – I love seeing all the books together!

The formal release date will be 1st April and the eBook is likely to go up on pre-order before that. The book is already up on Goodreads here. I have quite a few things planned to coincide with the launch, so stay tuned!

I’ll leave you with the blurb for the book to whet your appetite:

The weapon takers have bought themselves some time to complete their quest. But when their enemies return, they will find that they have become more ruthless and more terrifying than ever.

In the steppe lands of the far north, Soren must seek out the bow of the Jalakh tribes. In Kalinth, Belwynn must face a mysterious evil disguised as a friend. And in the high mountains of his Krykker homeland, Rabigar must learn a bitter lesson: nowhere is safe.

The Jalakh Bow continues the action-packed series, The Weapon Takers Saga. The series concludes with Book Four, The Giants’ Spear.

Beyond the Shadows Cover Reveal

Very excited about my involvement in the Beyond The Shadows Fantasy Anthology. I have contributed a short story to the collection, which is due to be released early in the New Year.

The cover design has just been released so I wanted to post it here so people can get an early view. It’s pretty cool, right?

I’ll be posting more information about my story and the anthology soon!
